Thanks Mr Positive....Thankfully the car was perfect today.

Hopefully this will just fade away and not become a recurring issue.

Sure sick of driving 6cyl Cayennes as loaners. The Q7 was incredibly nice - might be my wifes next car - damn solid.

Also got a new 2011 A8 for a day - that was the most boring car I have ever driven...besides a Camry Hybrid ( I tried to go green - that didn't work) The A8 has zero personality and the controls are a bit weird. Great fit and finish though

LOL... 1 more day, and then you will know for sure

The only 2 hybrids I drove recently (past 4 months) were the Mercedes S400 and the Fisker Karma... If I was going green... then the Karma would be my choice

Thankfully - I am back in action with no weird gremlins either. It seems that the new pcm or programming or whatever also fixed my randomly stopping during closing hatch too.

Let's get this thread behind us!

Man, I guess I wasn't immune. The day after I last posted on this topic, I had to take my Panamera to the dealer for throwing codes and it turns out the whole PCM had to be replaced!

I think the PCM's just have a serious design flaw - most everyone is going away from hard drive based units - except Porsche....

not true, MB's have the hard drive and there is no issues.

the issues stem from the wrong codes being entered, or after a software update not checking the codes. It is stupid, but it is about money.

Another thing, mb's can have accessories such as sat, ipod, aux, hd radio, added to it without these problems at all.

Just dumb

newby to the forum, but old to Porsche.
Greetings for Kuwait, I am an American trying to make his way in the middle east. I recently purchased a... Autologic PORSCHE diagnostic, at a cost of 9000.00 usd And today I received a 2010 Panamera, that was purchased in the USA the sent to Kuwait, well all the nav and PCM is set for boca raton flordia. I scanned the vehicle to change the region settings but the error I received, was a null function error, 6 47 , apparently the PCM is Confused as to its location on the GPS versus the destination in Flordia.
the owner of the car would like maps and if possible arabic support for the PCM , and I would need the codes to activate the software for the PCM , #2 Greenland south Africa and middle east,
my first request can you please piont me in the direction to obtain the necessary maps, software
second request, where can I get the codes for activation, I have a computer diagnostic to do this but no codes... for the PCM
thanking you in advance for you assistance.
best regards
