A PDK question

Does the PDK transmission activate the clutch if the brake is depressed and the gas pedal is depressed at the same time?

Simple version, can the Launch Control function be simulated using the pedals?

You can do it!!

Launch control is a feature in Panamera if you have the Sports Chrono package (or not?). Simply go into the "Sport Plus" mode and off you go with the brake/gas launching. Refer to your manual for detailed instruction. And the best part of it is that you can do it as many times/as often as you want, unlike in some other makes where there is usually a limit.

Porsche RULES!!

The owners manual states that repeated use could lead to shorter engine life. So take that with a grain of salt.

Details Please

I do not recall the Owners manual stating this fact. Would you please send us the page number.

Thanks, JohnnyB

Page 196 under Caution!
Use of Launch Control will inevitably reduce the life of the engaged engine and transmission components.

Unless I missed something, which is very possible, I don't believe that anyone has answered the original question. Can you simulate Launch Control if you do not have the Sports Chrono Package with the Sport Plus button? Will depressing the brake cause the PDK to activate the clutch while stepping on the accelerator? Sorry, if I have misunderstood.
