LJG1118 is infamous around these parts
Just wondering if its possible to fit a full size 19" spare in the rearhatch/trunk vs the donut from Sun Coast?

I picked up a hunk or steel in my tread last night and now have a flat 20" Pirelli 295/35 tire (OEM). Stranded again with no spare.

I am glad that I have a tire and wheel warranty but no replacement tire was in stock at my dealer. They tell me it will late today or tomorrow. To lose the use of your car for a day or more because of a tire is incredibly inconvenient.. to say the least....

This is the second tire I have lost in four months. The first time ruined an out of town vacation, and this one ruined a summer evening 20 miles from home. What a stupid situation. If you sell a car with tightly specified tires and models and did not design it with a spare, you certainly need to ensure that replacement tires are available within your dealer network.

I'm beginning to wonder if it makes sense to keep an extra front and rear tire on hand at home just for these situations. Or at a minimum to have the Suncoast spare option...

That would be costly.. Meanwhile, my tire and wheel warranty covers the costs when I have an issue, but they would not pay for tires if I bought "spares" to keep in my garage.

All fair points... I might need to consider the the Suncoast spare kit just so there is a shot of not getting stranded. I have found that probably 95% of my driving I do with nothing in the trunk anyway, so giving the space up to the spare probably isn't a big deal most of the time...
