Can We Have a Manual Tranny P4/P4S?

Why no manual option for the all-wheel drive? The C4/C4S can be had with a manual tranny. Is it marketing, or something technical?

We are both dreaming! In have even threatened my dealer with an M5 if they don't bring the manual Panamera to North America! BTW nothing can be had here in NA.

I think it would be too hard to drive while texting and drinking coffee while trying to shift a manual transmission

A manual transmission Panamera exists!

I don't think you can get it in North America, but you can special order it in the UK.

I just realized you asked about all-wheel drive models...the manual is only RWD Pannys.

But we can always hope

I've got a '11 Cayenne with a manual transmission... not sure if the Cayenne and Panamera AWD system is the same, but I'm guessing that there is no technical reason for not selling an AWD stickshift Panamera in the US.

are you saying the PDK is as satisfying as a MT? Not to mention that, if left in auto mode, invariably it'll be in the wrong gear because it simply can't know what my next move is going to be. Remember, we're all on a forum named "6speedonline" for a reason.

thanks for the link to this review of the MT P2S. It only confirms what I already know to be a fact--MT in larger cars is very satisfying. And, we can order the MT P2/P2S in the USA. Apparently, the USA market has enough pull with BMW to make them offer the MT in their M5/M6, including the new one, in this market. Maybe Porsche can be similarly persuaded.

The irony though is that BMW is not offering MT in Europe/Asia/etc. but Porsche is. Go figure ??
