PSM or on off from a stop

Do you guys leave PSM on or off when going from a stop.

DO I need to turn it off to do launch control?

If it is off, how unsafe is it?

I know I can try this at home, but the closest road that I'll be comfortable, is couple miles from the house and with family members at the house cant leave for too long.

I believe you will get better numbers with tc off. The Panny doesnt need this, however, and it will launch with tc on in comparison to most cars. I NEVER turn tc off, and you still get impressive numbers, manufacturers claims easily. Sport plus lets you slide enough, but without loosing it.

Thanks... I actually tried it with it on and there is a little intrusion... I will try it off and see the difference...

The problem is that I raced my brothers 997TT from a dig and my car left too late so he got almost a car ahead of me... Never caught up to him tho... So with a completely stock PTT against a 997.1TT with high flow cats and BMC filter is a drivers race... The distance never changed the whole way to 130MPH...

You need to have a really strong car to catch someone if they get ahead of you. If someone gets a jump on you, youre usually toast. My friend had a 996tt when I had my e55. He should have been faster, but usually it was whoever pressed the pedal first. You will take him with lc and tc on, if you dont sleep

Is your brothers car 997.1 or .2 tt, tiptronic or manual?

If 997.1 tip, manual or 997.2 manual, this is how it should have ended:

.1 Tip and he brake boosted a little, around 2500RPM, I heard him and he told me. Not bad of a launch but at the end the 911 caught up to him right?

I had the 997.1tt tip. You should be very even, the Panny is heavier though, but 997.1tt tip is not easy to launch and I think you should have him thanks to LC. Did you use 98/99 octane fuel, AC off etc.?
In the vid I think he goes off throttle around 200km/h, but I think due to the weight and aerodynamics 997.1tt will slowly pass somwhere after 200km/h, but before that you should have him.
