HRE wheels on Panamera 4s
HRE wheels on Panamera 4s
Does anyone have any photos that show how an HRE wheel fills the well of a Panamera 4S on stock suspension. I am intersted in the 794 wheel or possibly the panamer sport whell in black in a 20. I currently have the panamera turbo wheel in a 19 but want to move to a 20 because without spacers the wheel does not fill the well completely and I am interested in seeing less sidewall as well.
Secondly, HRE states that a 255/35 and a 295/30 would be the size of the new 20 inch tire, However I live in the midwest and would like to use Michelin pilot sport all seasons instead that are 255/40 and 295/35 unlike the summer tire size listed above. Should this all season tire fit the HRE wheel?
Any help would be much appreciated....thanks.

tonyep,
What will look small...the wheel or the sidewall? The later size mentioned is a larger sidewall so wouldn't that appear as a larger (taller) sidewall or a relatively small wheel size in relation to the overall diameter?
thanks

That looks great. Proof you dont need 21-22 inch to look good. Rear apron is a subtle and nice change as well.

Thanks!
I was amazed how little something like the rear apron did for the overall looks!
Sadly, my love affair with the GTS is going to be limited. I am likely looking at getting another Cayenne.
Wife has decided she wants a third kid!
Wish she told me BEFORE I made that trade! LOL!

Can you tell me what size spacer, front and rear, is needed for a panamera turbo wheel (19 inch) so it sits flush with the fender?
If I order new wheels from you, 20 inch, does the manufacturer automatically make the wheel so it does not require any spacer etc?
thanks.

Anil,
I have done a good amount of research and you can do 15mm spacers on all 4 wheels. This size gives a nice flush look with no rubbing on 20" spyder and 20"' Turbo II wheels. I expect that this would be similar for the 19" Turbo wheel as well. 5mm and 7mm spacers have been done also but don't seem to give the impact of change that your are likely striving for.
I have done the 15mm on the 20" spyder on my car and had been very happy with it. I have since gone with some aftermarket wheels.
It is true that if you go with aftermarket wheels designed or made for the Panamera they are constructed with an offset to give a flush look without spacers. Of course there are exceptions to this, and confirming this is important, but all reputable dealers and reputable brands usually adhere to this.
RSS spacers are a good way to go, I got mine at Suncoastparts.com
BTW, just to clarify, larger wheels that have correct sized tires for your application do not fill the wheels wells any more than stock rims, at least with respect to any measurable fender gap reduction.
The overall diameter of the wheel and tire combination when correctly done should be within 3% of the stock specs to prevent any measurement errors and any dynamic degradation from the way the car was designed.
Some would say that an even 3% error is too much.
Any perceived "filling" of the wheel well is an optical illusion due to less sidewall but like I mentioned before, you will not lose any fender gap.
Granted they usually look more flush because larger wheels are usually wider and have been designed with an offset that pushes the wheels out more.
Here are some pics of my car with aftermarket rims that I recently purchased from another 6speedonline member.
