question re: thermal and noise insulated glass option

My dealer couldn't answer this question:

Does the optional insulated glass give the windshield a bluish tint (as in the picture below)?

I haven't noticed any bluish tint. Certainly not like in that picture.

I didn't notice any tint on my cayenne with this option

yup - it is almost more a purple blue - i have it on my Cayenne & it looks really neat. amazing how it keeps the interior cool in the summer. i have black on black and in july what a difference

Do you have the heated windshield option on your Cayenne?

Not that I have noticed. I love the option, not only for heat, but due to being break resistant. I rock climb a ton and park at places where cars get broken into...my SAAB 9000 Turbo was broken into years ago by smashing a side window.

Of course, makes me wonder how break resistant they really are...

Have it on mine and yes it does gives a blueish tint to all the windows. It definitely makes a different during summer though. I did add tint on top of it.

wasnt available on my version. wouldn't get ome without the insulated glass

I would not say that it does, or it is that noticeable on my car.
