Looking for a DD. Thinking about a 4S or Benz CL600.
Will be buying used. Thoughts on the 2 choices?
I found a private party 08 CL600 with only 18k on the dial for mid 50's
just seems like so much BANG for the buck.

 

I have always been a Benz fan, but I feel that BMW, Porsche, and eben Audi have are so much more advanced with the interior fit and finish. I would buy the Panamera or even a 7 series before the 600.

 

Drive the two. I don't what you want in a DD but a simple flash is good for over 600hp in the CL.

 

..... that is true and the CL600 had an MSRP of 153,000
that can be bought for under 57k. Add $1000 tune and you get 600 hp and over 700 torque.
I was just contemplating giving the panny a go since i've been down the benz route with my last 3 daily drivers.

 

if you are looking used - go try a Pano turbo - i think your decision will be simplified.

 

turbo would be fine (driven it) if it wasn't being used for daily driving (6000-8000 miles per year).
the 0-60 time of 4.5 for the 4S is fine for my daily. with the AWD there isn't much gonna beat it off the line
i have a line on a 2010 4S in the mid 60's not sure it's worth another 23-25k more USED for the turbo either.

 

I found a nice 4S 2010 $119,000 sticker and 21k on the dial for $68,000
2008 CL Benz at $54 or 2010 4S at $68 is the question

 

Was just contacted about a TURBO 4 sale. I might have to take the plunge at the price offered

 

you strike me as a turbo person - the 4s power is a little light & i often found it just wasn't in the right gear. the turbo never had that issue
