Panny GTS and Rain
Panny GTS and Rain
OK...so, 1500 miles under my belt, and I am more and more in love with this car each passing day. Today was a serious rain day in S FL, and while I certainly was not driving recklessly, I was not driving slowly given the weather (i.e., passing other cars on most multi lane roads). Man, the sense of "confidence" and grip on this car was, to me, pretty much the same as on drive pavement. I have never had an all-wheel drive car before, so perhaps I am all the more amazed by it, but the car literally felt like it was "stapled to the pavement." Add this facet to my growing list of "loves" about this car....

ha...Tom, thanks for having my back! Yes, was driving faster than the crowd, but not at an insane (nor likely illegal) pace.....It was truly fun to enjoy that P-car stability. I am now hooked on a "4" variant of some sort forever!
Where are you in S FL? I'm in Miami and yes it hasn't stopped raining since last week. The car couldn't feel more solid, I think it's the weight and the AWD.
Let me know if you have time one of these day to shoot the #%^* and take it to the track for a spin.
Enjoy it in good health.

i think you read that link i posted about driving in a Winnipeg massive snow storm. they said the PGTS was better than any AWD P car they had driven.
which also says i should forget ground clearance and go for it!

Oh yes....in addition to the LCA, it was on the "must have" list.....amazing that this is a 4000+ car, as it is flat as a pancake in turns....incredible almost
...yet such a compliant, comfortable car when you just want to chill out and drive

Cole I'm in Tampa, was in Miami last week, maybe we will meet up at Sebring or Homestead for a driving event!
Hey Tom...I live in the wellington area (west palm beach). Used to have (and regularly track) my 997S....amazing that I could drive the car all week as a DD, take it to the track in stock form and have a blast, go home and wash it, and start the week all over again (minus some tire tread!). I would assume the Panny GTS (and certainly the TTS) would be in the same boat. Def keep me posted on any events that come up , as I would love to track the car.
