Do all panameras use runflats?

Just wondering.Do all panameras use runflats since there is no spare in the trunk? Or is it certain years or models?

none use runflats - porsche provides a sealant kit and an air pump in case of a flat - obviously if there is significant damage to the tire your basically screwed and will have to call roadside assistance

As far as I know, no Panameras come w/ runflats. My dealer actually recommended against them due to their effect on ride & their difficulty to source in the case of emergency replacement. A buddy of mine swapped his stocks out for runflats; it makes for a much harsher ride but he appreciates the additional peace of mind. I've opted for roadside assistance & the aforementioned sealant/pump kit.

I don't know make/model/etc of his but they do impact the ride noticeably and we have exactly the same car.

Hmm. I figured that if there is no spare - there must be runflats. All new BMW are set up this way. Everybody including myself hate runflats because you loose ride comfort. I was wondering what was the porsche take on that. So they just give you some silly green goo and a pump...LOL. If you have a sidewall damage then you are screwed.... That sucks big..... I hope you guys dont get many flats.

I usually put anywhere between 20,000-25,000 miles on my cars per year. And frequent roadtrips between LA and the Bay Area, LA & Palm Springs, LA & San Diego, LA & Vegas. A few hundred thousand miles and I've never had a flat on any of my cars, aside from once when my next door neighbor was having work done on his house and I rolled over a piece of metal and tore my tire right in front of my own driveway.

I dunno, it's pretty rare that I see someone stopped on the side of the road fixing their own flat nowadays, but <shrug> I guess I've been lucky?
