I have over 72K on my 11' 4S. I had to have my engine replaced due to a camshaft issue. Based on my investigation, only a couple of other Panamera owners have had this issue. Other than that, my car has been great. I'm hoping to keep this car for quite a while. My recommendation to someone in the market for Panamera is to go the CPO route.
19K miles on the car, no issue, pretty reliable. The only high cost item is "Tires" if you have the 20 in rims. Replacement michelin tires are approx. $2K per set of 4. I don't push the car very hard but the michelin tires are pretty much bold after 18K miles. One more observation. when I replace my tires, I notice the front tire inside shoulder rubber is peeling off like an orange peel. Both sides - so it is not just one bad tire. The rubber is peeling off throughout the inside shoulder (not just one spot). I guess it may be due to the suspension setup. (keep in mind, I don't push or take hard cornering on my car). Kind of disappointed with the michelin tires.
I have the 19" Turbo rims and the dealer quoted me $2300 for a set of replacement Michelins. I wanted get new wheels anyway and I was able to pick up a set of 22" XO Milan Concave on a set of the Continental ExtremeContact DWS 06 for $3300. Replacement tires are $400+ cheaper on the 22" so I can save money in the long run...at least that is how I sold the idea to my wife. I've had these Continentals on other cars and have been very happy with performance and longevity. Worse case scenario if I don't like how they perform in the winter time, I can throw a set of winter tires on my 19s.
With regard to prices for an oil service at DC area dealers...i found Tyson's to be the best (over all) service department, quoted me $595 for an oil service, but price matched Rockville's $295 quote. Arlington, which is would never recommend, came in at $685 for an oil service.
I live in the DMV. I get my oil changed at Autobahn on RT 1 in Laurel, MD...$120. Spark plugs cost me about $600, air filter about $150(you have to take the whole bumper off). They have the same diagnostic computer as the Porsche dealership. I had to replace my suspension air compressor at about 50K miles, cost me $1800. The only thing he could not do was put more air in the system,so he just sent me to the dealer for that, and knocked it off of my total. These guys are very knowledgeable, fair, charge half the labor cost of dealers, and don't charge for inspecting things, which it the vast majority of out scheduled maintenance list.
Re Ferrari Warranty, you mean 3 year warranty with a 7 year schedule maint plan. huge difference.
FF is a great car, but in another league of operational costs.
