2015 porsche website problems

My SA called to inform me that PNA had made an error on their website. For the past 3 months if you ordered a 2015 with the premium plus package, it included front ventilated seats. Apparently this is not the case and all those who ordered their cars this way, are now showing up without this option. This is brutal.

Wow, that sucks.

This is our first Porsche, and the ventilation on the seats is miles ahead of the ventilation on our MBs. I'm happy that our car has it.

Their Configurator is not well designed to start with IMO.

The ventilated seats in my 911 work great.

The sad part is I was worried about the web build so I had the dealer also do it and then I had him confirm in writing that the front seats were ventilated with the package. In fact I had another dealer also confirm it.

I ordered a panamera gts back in March or April. June 2015 build. I did not get the alcantera seats specifically because they are not available with seat ventilation. Car is completed and en route to the US as I type. My salesman forwarded me this email yesterday:

This vehicle has been ordered with option P45 (Premium Package Plus).

This package does not include ventilated seats as part of the package content as previously listed in PVMS.

Because the order(s) listed below have already started production, they can no longer be changed to include this option.

Please advise your customers of this change.

The package content has been corrected in PVMS to accurately reflect the actual contents.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

At least the apologized for any inconvenience...

So pissed. For me it's a deal breaker.

So, they decontented the Premium Plus package for 2015 and they want you to add ventilation as a stand alone? $840 for that option. Fronts only.

I think there's gonna be a lot of ticked-off customers at delivery.

The PCNA website configurator still shows ventilation as part of the Premium + package. Nice.

Yup. $840 additional for front seat ventilation. Configurator is fixed now. Cancelled my previous order. Place new order, early October allocation. Sticking with agate grey/carrera red two tone. Previous order had 20" turbo II wheels. Leaning towards 20" turbo design wheels. Opinions?

Btw, called porsche USA customer service. Basically told they would work with me for some additional discounting if I accept the mis-built vehicle. If I cancel and re-order then no compensation.

Saabfreak,
what kind of discount were they offering? Considering it was false advertising that lead to this in the first place, do they expect you to pay the additional cost of $840 on the reorder? BTW go for the black wheels.

no idea what dollar amount they were considering; i had already told them i definitely don't want the car. I was considering getting white with black wheels; i think that combination rocks.

and yes, they do expect me to pay the extra $840 this time around.

There's about a million (I frequently exaggerate) 2014 white Panameras sitting on lots right now. Probably some with Premium Plus...

I'm an off-the-rack kinda guy, so that's why I mention it.

I ordered my GTS with turbo design wheels. The turbo II rims are too common. And the turbo designs are sweet in person!

Wow that's pretty bad. Would have hated it if that happened to me.
