Nice Find! where were you 2 months ago?

It certainly looks the same - hard to tell with the super low res photos and giant watermark. The motor certainly looks the same, can't tell if the connector is, it's too blurry. I'd be surprised if it wasn't. £30 is not a lot to pay to find out though and I bet it fits.

Awesome, So now, this whole thing is a super easy fix. you can pay £3000 GBP or £31.32 and an hour or 2 - your call

Hi Joe London , sorry to reopen this thread but I’ve got a problem with my spoiler and you have given so much good info on here regarding this problem I’m hoping you may be able to help . I’ve got my spoiler assembly out and got the motor out with a new one on order . But my question is should I be able to twist the cables by hand that operate the plastic worm screws ? My cables will NOT twist at all by hand and a screwdriver at the top of the plastic worms won’t turn either . Is there a locking mechanism in place or should they be free ? ….. I’ve sprayed everything up and may just put the new motor in and see what happens if I can’t free it all up ?

It's a little while ago now, so memory fades. You mean the flexible square top drive cables that come out of each end of the motor you removed? If so, I found the easiest way was to put the old motor back in between the cables and turn the motor by hand to give more purchase. added bonus you don't move one cable more than the other, which would raise one side of the spoiler more than the other, and you'll end up having to sort that out too.

Yes , the square tipped ones , thanks for the reply , will the motor not just rotate internally if I try what you suggest ? I will give it a try

yes, you're right, it will. I just read my post again. I did it with the core of the motor after I'd taken it out of the casing. need strong hands and good pliers, but it's doable. that's how I did it at least.
