Recently got Nav-tv Back up camera installed in my Porsche Panamera. Install was plug n play with the Panamera Handle cam but i see lot of my bumper in the camera feed. anyone has any tip on how to improve the angle
Please check my attachement pics for reference. any advice how to fix the angle. as they handle camera is plug n play and not much space in camera inside the handle.
Take a look at this image http://www.arielbravy.com/cars/wp-co...8/IMG_4116.jpg You will see there is no bumper showing. Seems your camera needs to be tilted up a bit. Not sure if there is space for the lens to be angled a bit upwards.
Sorry don't have nav tv but wondering if they cannot adjust it for you. I have seen them advertise quite a bit about their solution.
Spoke to tony at nav-tv and he said there's no way to tilt it as camera is inside the handle casing itself like oem install
I wonder if any of you can post pics from a genuine 2012 Porsche Panamera camera option as camera lay out is similar to nav-tv by exterior looks (in 2014 they switched the camera to bumper above license plate probably coz the old setup use to show more of ground than back obstacles) wondering what can be done to see more of a straight look.. Will post pic of handle camera shortly any advice would help.. I know camera needs to be tilted up a little but it's inside the handle and fits in camera casing area... Thanks guys

Nick the link u sent me also shows bumper but yeh it's little less bumper than mine
There is a video on youtube of one of these units being installed and it does not look like that. I had looked into doing this as well and it should not look like that. With the way that camera is you cannot use it correctly it is not showing enough of the image to use the directional lines. Did you install this yourself? There should be some way to get something (half a rubber washer might work ) under the bottom of the camera to angle it up just a bit. I would not be a happy with the way that is working at all.
I can't stop laughing after reading your msg hahah. well the video of 2014 panamera shows a very good rear view and also has 360 degree view as well as side and front view.... you shouldn't be seeing the rear license plate at all... can someone else advice on this.
the camera i got from nav-tv is definitely for 2013 n before models as handle fits right into tailgate and looks just the OEM one (the one porsche displays in their i-manual website as well). but camera has more of bottom view than straight back.
I'm hoping nav tv can come with a new camera so i can exchange it and get better view.
I'm also getting online services installed by dealer in two weeks for 500 USD and wanted multifunction steering but dealer quoted 3000 USD price so feel thats too much....
As everything prices are double for everything in INDIA with taxes. for starter I bought the panamera Diesel base model for a price of 250000 USD.

See Mprice the video that is available online by Nav-tv shows a very different camera in the install. its a camera which goes instead of parking light next to tailgate release handle. the newer camera that i got is more OEM looking where camera goes right with the tailgate release as you can see on their website if you google nav tv panamera handle camera. So view would be different as both cameras have different viewing angle. but unfortunately both show bumper mine shows a little more
I even contacted nav-tv and they thing its suppose to be like this.
Here's a pic of the rear facing camera (factory installed) which was included in Option 638 - ParkAssist (Front and Rear) incl. Reversing Camera.
This is on a 2014, so obviously not completely relevant to this thread, but posted to show how much of the lower viewable area is taken up by the license plate.

Your camera view through straight looks weird n i think worse with the number plate showing up on it. its not like this on their online video. i would complain about it with the dealer and see what he says.
