Occupancy detection system question

Hey
I noticed last week that my car doesn't sound an alarm if passenger is not wearing his belts but does so incase of driver. I thought it's a basic feature even available on cars 1/5th the price of a panamera. So I told the dealership to check it out initial response by the technician was that my car is not equipped with something called occupant detection system meanwhile every Panamera parked at the dealer had this seat belt warning for the passenger. I insisted when I purchased the car in 2013 there was no such separate option to purchase this system at a cost so it should have been standard in my car like its on every car. Then I contacted Porsche India as well and now they have kept the car at the dealership to check it out completely.
Now my question to you guys is does any of you have a panamera which doesn't have passenger detection system meaning no seat belt warning comes if passenger is not wearing his seat belt. Thanks

Safety features are NOT model specific. I have had 3 panameras they all alarmed when the driver or passenger were not buckled in.

That's what I thought as well but my dealers saying that my car doesn't have something called occupant detection system. It has a sensor inside the seat which is not present in my car. Also all panameras in the workshop had a key lock in the glove box to turn airbag on and off for passenger seat even that key lock is missing in my panamera. Mine is the 2009-2013 shape panamera diesel can someone else please confirm

My MY13 PTT does not give out an audible alarm as well when the passenger is not wearing the seat belt. It does have the occupancy sensor on the passenger seat though.

Hey does it show a no seat belt sign in the instrument cluster ? If not then how do u know that ur car has the occupant detection coz sole purpose of the system is to detect passenger and warn them to belt up by alarm.

It does for driver, not for passenger. The overhead console does show the status of the passenger airbag, depending on occupancy.

I don't have that airbag light which you just showed me. I'm posting my dome light picture for reference. Dealer wants me to pay 50$/hr diagnostic charge to check what's the issue? Even if car doesn't have this feature from factory they will still charge me labour charges for a minimum of 3hr leading up to even 8hrs irrespective of the fact whether car has the feature or not so this is a bit weird that by car vin number they can't check whether the car has this feature or not... Or should it be standard on all panameras... Any help from others on this issue before I lose anywhere from 150-500$ and find out this car doesn't have this feature as told by a technician while car door rattle was fixed at a charge of 150$ just two days ago

HEY C-MAN

Can you post a picture of the passenger not wearing seat belt warning sign from the instrument cluster. or do you only get audible warnings and no sign in the cluster like you get when drivers not wearing it.
