It can be done under CPO. It all depends on your relationship with your SA. Dealers get paid more from a Porsche than if you had to pay for it yourself.

Mine was two years old when the chrome piece broke off the driver window switch. Dealer replaced under warranty. It has been OK since then.

Mine is broken exactly like yours, I got my car like that. Doesn't really bother me. I never would have noticed if the Dealer didn't tell me.

May be taboo, but have you guys noticed the chinese have replicated this part, possibly due to the crappy oem quality (always breaking). My first panamera came with a broken switch. I picked up a chinese aftermarket one on ebay for like $40. I attempted to remove the door panel per a youtube video, but after following all the instructions, I couldn't get the door panel to pop off. I ended up removing the speaker grill by the switch, removing the speaker, reaching in and pushing the switch up. Side by side oem and chinese look identical and the replacement works perfect. Just picked up a V6 panamera with the same issue (pass side window as well). Bought the same replacement, this time on amazon. $40 for driver, $10 for pass.

You're right. Seems like you have blind spot monitoring.

Removed speaker grille

Just curious how you popped off the speaker grille. I have plastic trim removal tools but
Couldn't seem to get it to pop out. I didn't want to force it. Any advice?

like i said i tried to remove the whole door panel per a video on YouTube (type in panamera door panel removal). I got to the very end but the door panel wouldnt pop out. Frustrated i played with a few options and realized i could pry off the speaker grill. Mine is bose as well. Only way i can explain it is to get a very thin screwdriver or trim removal tool and start at the very front of the grill. Once you can see how its held in you can pull it off slowly.

You guys need to "tip" your SA all the time if you want them to put this under warranty. Otherwise good luck.

FYI - On a Panamera (Turbo w/ Bose speakers). You can remove the speaker grill, pry the front corner with a small pick or hook and just work it back and forth and slowly pry back. Be careful, a lot of fine leather, so take your time and have patience. The entire speaker comes off. Unplug the harness with your hand inserted into the speaker opening. Then start to push up on the window switch. It has 4 metal clips, not sure an exact strategy here, I just sort of worked it back and forth on each side and it came loose that way.
