Radar detectors...
I never heard of a mini badge... looks like it's a NY thing and anyone can get one lol

I still like having a radar detector, it's nice to know you're being clocked. If I'm cruising the speed limit and want to punch it, it's nice to know if a cop is behind me somewhere

You brag about being pulled over 9 times in 9 months and flash your wife's badge around like a ******

Here's a hint, stop driving like an a hole and don't abuse your wife's badge.
Not hating. You invite these type of comments. Why would I lie about my brother being a cop? lol

I bragged about getting pulled over? LOL No I just made an example. How did I flash my wifes badge? First of all its mine. Second some genius posts a link showing a generic badge that anyone can get. I was simply showing you can NOT get what I have. Again, dont hate.
And its just amazing that you know me and how I drive. You have no idea. Just because I have a perk and I use it dont be bitter and hate cause you do have the perks I have.
Go buy a radar detector.

Those mini badges are not licenses to speed. You think of it as a perk but you abuse the fact that your wife is a cop. If I was your spouse I would be embarrassed and take that badge away from you. Being pulled over once a month is not something to be proud of.
I speed all the time, I haven't been pulled over in 8 years.

Keep in mind the V1 (or any detector) doesn't make you invisible to radar (or laser). I use the detector to remind me to be always situationally aware which makes me a better driver.
Also, I use it as my Porsches draw more attention than other cars and I need all the early warning I can get.
While a mini-van driver (or really any driver in something other than a Porsche) can get away with 10mph over the limit on say an uncrowded freeway my experience is a Porsche driver can't.
I've had officers who have pulled me over tell me that expect me and owners of similar cars to be better drivers -- one AZ state trooper also told me he expects LEO's to be better drivers too -- and are thus less tolerant of minor infractions committed by Porsche drivers.
I like the arrows, the signal strength, the number of bogies displayed. The 2 times the unit acted up -- false alarming on first laser than again years later on some little used radar band -- Valentine One repaired the unit free of charge even though the unit has been out of warranty for years.
Last but not least even though I have gotten pulled over with the V1 on I fight every ticket and win. Since citations are issued in such a subjective manner I feel quite comfortable challenging every one. I have no problem paying an attorney his legal fee, even paying a much reduced fine/court costs for a lesser infraction, vs. just stepping up to the window and paying a fine.
Ok so if you aren't a cop or married to one you need a detector. Yes some cops turn their radar on and off but most don't so you have plenty of notice! Get a good detector and you won't get tickets unless you aren't careful and don't listen to the alarm! Have a great Holiday weekend all!

You can easily do some research and find out about this. None of this is a secret.
So here in CA radar detectors do wonders. First of all most CHP have there radar on all the time. I can pick up that signal well before they point and shoot to me. Granted if you are on the road alone and out in the middle of mo where we will be done and most likely not able to slow down. If you are out there with other cars and you get a radar signal you have plenty of time to get slowing down.
Drove from OC to Vegas this weekend. 12 cops minimums each way and my Max2 was perfect the entire way. Warned me of every cop and was able to get slowed down and let them go catch other folks.
Detectors are great if you use them also with some common sense and are not fully thinking that is the only savior.
