im actually disappointed they gave the option for a bigger charger ... on the plus side i mounted mine yesterday

I'm OK with repeating myself to new people. Doesn't bother me, particularly if it's in a very niche area, such a Porsche hybrids, where there isn't that much concrete information available. If it's particularly long, I can always post a link to what I said earlier.

Got my car back from the service department. The recall says "replace battery control unit." It involved pulling the battery out of the car on a crane, and it took them 3 days to do it. Their service sheet said $5000, but $0 on my invoice since it's under warranty.

When I got home the car gave me a "low coolant, STOP DRIVING NOW" warning, just as I got into the driveway. I had coolant on hand from last time, and sure enough, the battery coolant reservoir was well the minimum line. I called the service department, and they think it was just an air bubble working its way out on my drive home.

Engine coolant was fine.

Interestingly enough, the service manager advised me that plain water was perfectly fine in a pinch. That surprised me given how they are about a number of other things.
