I would recommend getting a GTS with naturally-aspirated engine, if your budget allows for it.

Simple answer, get whatever your budget and level of comfort allows you to get.

The Question I asked does not concern my budget.. just simply asking folks who maybe.....drove a Escalade before and then switched to a Panamera..what they feel..which one they prefer and secondly and not considering the budget of course, when do folks feel like its advisable to trade in your car.

Not sure driving an Escalade and Panamera are comparable... One's a large SUV and the other is a sports sedan. Did you mean Escalade vs. Cayenne (Porsche's SUV)?

I guess my question would be for the most part directed at people who have driven an Escalade before.. I realize one is a large SUV and the other is a sports sedan..but I personally switched from a 750LI to a S550 and now a Escalade..so if someone asked me what they feel about all these cars as far as drivability, cost and so on.. I would be able to give them my opinion... One of which is not "did you mean to say a GL550" thanks for your time though 15PGTS

I knew a pimp once, ( real pimp, once one of my rental property's neighbor was a striper) He had an Escalade, it was nice. I'd opt for the Pan 4s, once your warranty is up that truck is worthless. I never understood why they are so expensive to begin with. If this is your first Porsche your in for a treat. I can tell you this that Escalade most likely doesn't get manny looks. The Pan will.
Most people will tell you to opt for the GTS, yes the GTS is insane but its not needed if you're going to daily drive it. The GTS is for people who need the very best on top of the very best.

Rockygregs,

If your asking if the old style panameras will depreciate more when the new body style comes out, the answer is yes...somewhat. So, if your asking if you would get a better deal on a previous body style panamera after the new come out, the answer is probably yes as well. This logic only applies to a used car of course.

Now, if your talking about buying a new one, then I don't think it matters.

You are driving an american vehicle. I used to do car brokering years ago, and can tell you that american cars depreciate faster than imports...no question. Your driving an old body style escalade now as well. Your vehicle will continue to depreciate of course, and even faster once your warranty runs out.

Now, to further expand on your question about driving an Escalade vs. a Panamera. There is a "huge" difference in the ride. The Escalade is very top heavy and handles poorly in turns, whereas the panamera takes turns like it is on rails. The panamera, depending on what model you get, will be faster and a much sportier ride. Now, the only edge I give the Escalade is in the interior room. There is more room in the Escalade. Oh, and the build quality is FAR superior in the Panamera, but I bet you knew that.

Have you driven a Panamera yet?
