Porsche Panamera 3,6 problem
Porsche Panamera 3,6 problem
Hi guys, I got my Porsche Panamera since 5 days and the first problem appeared
I hear a noice when it changes the gear but only from 5000rpm up to the max, i think at 7000 it changes, its a strange noise like a plane taking off, cant describe the sound. If i go normal no noise, only when hitting kick down or sport/sport plus when it changes at maximum rpm. I made a request to go with the car go the Porsche but they dont have time only in 2 weeks so i made this thread..maybe anyone had this problem in the past. Cheers from Romania

Well, my english is not that good, i would say its hearing like a whistleing but its not a whistle... Maybe i will make a video and then upload it?
could be lots of things... maybe it s along the serpentine belt or one of the pullys. Hard to determine on the internet. Does it do it in park when racing the engine? or only when in motion?
Only in motion. And only from about 5000 to 7000(maximum) rpm.

And i have other issue to, i've seen here is other guy with a thread with the same problem, car is vibrating and when i am in motion and i stop at red light for example, it drops a lil bit from 800 rpm or how much it stays normal and u feel like the engine is stopping..
You mean the vibration or the strange sound?
At my car it makes when the car is warm too, i never go fast with the car if its cold
The low idle thing doesn t sound normal.
Maybe try manual putting it into first gear when almost stopped and see what it does. Just try a few things to give the tech some things to work with.
Also can you drive another car like your and see the differences?
Is this car under warranty? Let a certified tech look at it. Sometimes it s a simple ECU reflash or update. It s reasonable to hear some noises when a machine is operating.
