Panamera Rear Passenger Doors Won't Open From Outside

I have a 2011 Panamera 4 and suddenly the rear passenger door began not not open from outside but it's OK if you pull the hatch from inside.. While I was getting on with this problem the other rear passenger door started the same problem...

Has anyone experienced this before?

Edit: Now it's all doors except the drivers.. They began to fail one by one!

Yes, same problem here

2012 V-6. My rear driver side door will not open from the exterior handle but will open from the inside. It seems to come and go and sometimes works perfectly.

Before it was working sometimes but now it never opens from outside..

It's strange because once you open it from inside and close the door again, it can be opened from outside normally..

The lock actuator needs to be replaced.

Just FYI,

I had to replace the door lock actuator to fix this. It's $120 online, but it's a real pain to install. If you are going to DIY it I STRONGLY suggest buying replacement aluminum security torx bolts that hold the subframe to the exterior door panel. DO not use the originals as they will snap under the torque spec since they are single use intended.

i have the opposite issue. i just bought a used 2012 panamera S and didnt realize that the rear passenger door will not open from the inside. It will open fine from the outside though. Is it broken or is there some child protection that i'm not aware of?

Does the lock actuator require any resetting of body computers after it’s replaced? Some cars have to learn the new actuator after replacement.

I have learned that these electronics can sometimes error out and one simple reset will fix them. With that said, please use PIWIS to clear errors and redo coding, and then try again first before buying anything.

Now it's all doors except the drivers.. I'm not using the car very much with passengers so I didn't mind it until now but I'll take it to the service before the driver door also have same problem.. .. I guess this is a general issue with all Panamera's.

Check your setting for the car, you may have it set to only unlock the drivers door for unlock.

Rear door not opening from outside

2011 Pana4, same issue on rear doors. Did this get fixed? What parts? Did you DIY or have it done? Any advice? Thanks.

I’ve had to change the door lock actuator/assy for the passenger side front door for my ‘10 4S because of this and now the rear-pass side is acting up. Apparently it’s a failure prone part for Pannys and Cayennes...
