How to make Panamera Turbo as engaging as GTS?
I have a 2014 CTT. I love it, best SUV. Now I am in the market for a used 2014-16 Panamera. Mainly to get a car that handles very well, sits low, practical and is engaging to drive. It should evoke the driving passions. Initially I thought GTS would be the ideal choice. After the test drive, I felt it met almost all of the criteria. It handles well, sits low, amazing exhaust. However, the power felt lacking esp coming from a CTT. It doesn't thrust you like a CTT.
Thus I am targeting a Panamera Turbo/TurboS. I drove one couple of months ago. It was very fast. But it was extremely quiet and the ride felt more on luxury side than sport. It didn't evoke the passion in me to acquire it.
Now having experienced both GTS and Turbo, the ideal requirement for me is a car with GTS handling + Turbo power. Naturally a GTS alone can't do it as upgrades to power are impossible with NA V8.
That leaves the choice to making Turbo handle as well as GTS, nice exhaust etc.
How to make this happen or close enough?

The handling part is probably identical - if you want more noise swap out the downpipes, add an X pipe to the stock sports exhaust. If you want even more noise swap out the mufflers. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.
I'm a big fan of the GTS because of the insane sound from the sport exhaust. That made the difference for me - something I can enjoy everyday just driving around town at the speed limit.
I am able to find 2017 P4S for around 100K used with <10K miles.
Likewise, 2014-16 PTT for 80-90K with 20Kish miles.
Which one would you pick assuming both are in budget?
Is the new body style that big of an upgrade to forgo the TT power?

Actully just came across this exhaust yesterday. How is this one at low speed; in/out of the garage, neighborhoods, etc? I’d like something that isn’t going to wake up my 7yo when I leave early/come home late, but sounds great when you get on the throttle. Does the Fabspeed exhaust fit the bill, or is it always “at 11”, so to speak?

I would go with 2017 P4S. It is better handling than 2014-2016. 2017 is a new generation. 14-16 is the same. I have 2016 PAN. If you enjoy to work on your Porsche, you can do it with 2016 model. 2017 is impossible. Porsche has a smart chip authentication so you can't use diagnostic tool from Durametric and other. You will bring 2017 car to Porsche dealer until someone can crack the protocol and provide you a tool for diagnostic. We can afford to bring the car into Porsche dealer for maintenance. icy on the cake !!!
