I would not buy this car unless you are the Pro know how and you need to reserve $$$ in case. I only buy CPO porsche from Porsche with Warranty ... Peace of mind ... $25-30K is max. Regular porsche guy would not buy this car. 2014 PT is around $72 fully loaded and warranty. 2014-2016 is better than early year.

Sorry but it's no sense. You've just suggested to buy a $72k 2014 PTT instead of a $35k 2010 PTT... It's 37k difference ! With that money you could replace the engine twice or the tranny four times ! 2010 PTT is a much better deal, very close to 2014/2016 in all terms. If well maintained, any early bug that hit 2010/11 PTT has been fixed since years.

LOL. I would consider the 72K 2014 if money was no object. Unfortunately, money is ALWAYS an object and must be considered.
Wife is giving me push back due to age and mileage. I am OK with it given that service records are available at dealer.

I read the servicecrecords, saw couple recalls done. Plus all regular maintenance intervals too. Dont recall any major stuff.
However I am no longer contemplating it. Was in a rush due to the PCCB feature, but wife is right. 100k miles is a 100k miles. Yes, can still be good, but I will wait for something else with half the distance.
Thanks, I will update if I see something.

warranty should be available till 200000 km or 10 years, whatever first comes.

I think a pass on that car was a good move.
IMO that would be a good car for a service tech that has access to a shop, and time and interest in maintaining it. Then at the right price might be an awesome way to go.

Agree, could get warranty, but my thoughts are (already hzving cayenne turbo), age combined with many heat cycles would make this car oribe to multiple part replacement just because of wear and age. So I left that one alone. Plus carbon brakes are more than half used in life, meaning very pricy at replace time 160k miles I believe. Already said good bye to that.
Agree too. I actually enjoy working on my porsche. Take the time to do it perfect. Fixed on different car having every single option except cooling seats and pccb with half the miles. Too bad it is not carbon gray, but black, but i think i will get over it.
