at least 4-5 times a week, i walk out to my car and hit the unlock button on the key. nothing happens. the red light flashes on the key. the car alarm is on. but no matter what button i hit on the fob, nothing happens. i have to take the manual key out, turn it in the door, and then the car and fob work together again. any ideas on why this is happening?

 

Have you tried a fresh battery in the fob?
