Bah, got a check engine light

Went for a spirited drive yesterday, everything was running great. Temps looked good.
Came home, shut 'er down and a minute later realized I need to more it. Fired it up and the yellow check engine light came on..

steady light not flashing - right now I'm assuming it has to do with emissions, and somehow related to the hot restart.
Still haven't gotten a Durametric or iCarSoft so no way yo read the codes to know for sure, looks like I'll have to take ti to the shop.

Bah

Really hard to say. Need diags. Without it, guessing.

guesses:
- coil or plugs
- evap
- air suspension
- pdcc

in other words, could be anything.
if you had spirited ride before cel, I lean towards plugs, coils.
no other errors?

You can use any OBD-II reader to pull the code. If you don't own a reader, go to one of your local car part stores and some will read the error code for you. Then, look up the error code to diagnose. Depending on the age of your vehicle, it couple be simply a bad gas cap, too.

In my experience it is always either USPS or ups that fails to deliver. Extremely irritating, especially pop specially when you expect something special.

the worst offender for me used to be ON trak (or off track as I called them) you could almost guarantee that it would be late if they had the package - and the tracking was the worst, it always show the package as being in another state, but "out for delivery" ????

I think I will be going home for lunch so I can check the mail :-)

Alright, package was waiting for me when i got home, plugged it in and read the codes - only one -P0069
seems it had a difference of opinion on air pressures - need to do more digging on this

cleared it and she ran fine, went for a drive and no issues

nice article on the problem and possible solutions
https://www.yourmechanic.com/article...y-andrew-quinn

One not mentioned here but elsewhere is a grounding problem, seems there is/was an issue on the Panamera with a ground wire connection.
it has it's own TSB but I haven't had much luck getting much more detail on it

See this link, too? First, something simple. Inspect the gasket on your gas cap. I had a CEL on my 2007 Porsche that indicated a "tank leak". The gasket on the cap had dry-rot (micro-cracks). Inexpensive and easy replacement that addressed the CEL. With the age of your vehicle, it may be related?
