Red face Air suspension failure

Went to get in my car this am after a quick breakfast and thought it looked a bit low in the front.

Driving and this came up

I tried to raise it while I was calling roadside assist and got this

Dealer told me not to drive like this. I get out of the car and I hear the compressor run and the car rose to proper hight. In less than 2 minutes I hear a leaking sound and down she went.

She is CPO but I just had the new exhaust installed and hope that shop didnt fudge anything up while they were installing it. I kinda doubt they were anywhere near that area but weird it happened shortly after that visit.
Air shock failure???

Single side as DogWood asked? If the leaking sound is coming from the strut (specifically the top) you may have just popped a bag. While you can normally drive when it's low and then fills up, if its leaking that quickly it's probably dead.

It is possible they snagged a line during the install and pulled out, but I think the value of the strut wouldn't let that happen. In that case, its more likely to never fill or leak when raising/lowering, not often. My gut is the bag ripped. Hit any holes recently?

I've had leaks in several struts, but never when it will leak within 2 minutes.

Sorry to see this again. These systems (in all makes not just Porsche) almost seem to be a serviceable item that eventually all will undergo repairs.

They said the left side bag is cracked at the top and the right one looks crappy so both are getting replaced under CPO, approx $9000. Have to say Im impressed with the service so far.

they'll be replacing both front struts, Genuine Porsche parts at Pelican go for $1647 ea and you know the dealer is marking up more than that.
Then there is labor at some obscene rate..

so $9k sounds about right
