New (to me) Panny TTS
Hi all,
Just picked up former CPO 2012 Turbo S and enjoying getting to know the car, currently 62k mi - need to get a new nick name for.
It's been a blast esp on Sport or Sport + as I don't keep it there too often given our residential streets, but sure is fun on the highway.
Initially I didn't want black, thought it's starting to grow on me. That said, still very difficult to keep finger prints off - haha.
Two quick questions:
1) Car drives GREAT but there's a slight click on the front left area when going over speed bumpo.
The front control arms were done about 20k mi ago, so I'm wondering if that's the issue - or shall I just keep driving it?
2) When I first get into the car, about 30 seconds later the car rises slightly. Is that normal?
P.S. Just changed the car chrono to clock, and turned off comfort mode for car seats on entry - MUCH better now.
PL

1 clicking noise could be the roll bar linkage - you might want to check it out
2 could just be the self leveling adjusting to your weight
I ended up getting a white one, like you it wasn't my first (or fifth) choice but now that I have it I really like it, having some fun with it - got the whole storm trooper thing going :-)

The car raising or lowering on its own, is car monitoring and reacting to weight and/or level changes. If chassis not level for any reason, it will adjust. If weight is added or removed from any part of car, it will adjust. So don't worry about this. It is appropriate and automatic. Cannot be turned off.
Clicking in suspension likely lower links to sway bar, or maybe lower arms (I would characterize those noises as clunking more than clicking if from the arms). Upper control arms are also culprits for clunking over speed bumps. If your car makes 'used mattress' sound, squishing sounds it is likely the sway bar bushings. You can try lube them, but often replacement is only remedy.
