Oxygen sensors. Anyone replaced them yourselves?

Hi

I have a 2010 Pamamera Turbo, and the upstream oxygen sensor on bank 1 is broken, and needs replacement. But the price i got from the porsche dealer was crazy, so will replace it myself.
But i just wonder if anyone in here have done any of these? Its an easy job, but i wonder if the catalytic converter needs to come off to get space to remove it?

REALLY?? So many panamera owners, and NO ONE has done this job? Do they never fail these sensors? At my local dealer they said it is quite normal to replace these after almost 10 years.

So it seems. Well, in worst case i need to take down the catalytic converter to replace the sensor. My local porsche dealer wanted 1115 USD to do the job included parts and labor, but if i do it myself, i get away with 66 USD. And since i dont have any money tree in my garden, i think Im going to do this easy job myself. At least i hope it will be easy. Will take some photos for a small DIY.

If you will have to take down 'catalytic converter' which actually will be down-pipe then prepare for very hard job! You will need a lot of tools extensions swivels etc. just to unscrew one last nut.
As per official Panamera repair manual for this job whole engine needs to be lowered down. Some pics related to removing catalytic converters can be found here:

I replaced the down stream o2 sensor on my 12 TT. Mine is cat-less and it was an easy job for sure. O2 sensor was like $70 from FCP.

When I installed my cat less pipes, you don’t need to lower engine, the major pain in the *** was when 2 bolts broke off in the turbo housing from the down pipe. But it’s definitely doable with some patience.

spray some liquid wrench liberally on all the bolts a few hours before you start the job if possible. Heat is also helpful but be careful if you have soaked them in liquid wrench first as that stuff is highly flammable.

Yes, will make sure that they get soaked the day before i start the job. Luckily it seems doable, when several here say i dont have to lower anything. Have a few hours in front of me, because i need to remove the inlet also. I have a broken cooling water pipe that runs under the inlet, so need to remove that to get access. But also i like to do stuff myself( or im just a cheap bastard)
