Eittar Throttle Controller - Decided to try
My first post, and probably my only. I just signed up to say that I also purchased that Eittar Throttle Controller, and it almost killed my wife and I. It would randomly only do about 10% throttle, even when floored. AliExpress and the seller were unhelpful, had to dispute through my credit card. I am not saying they all do this, I am just posting my experience, as I purchased it due to forum threads like this. Take care, and stay safe
We have no idea what you did to install it. No idea if it was defective. Rely on your word 100% for any info.
I don't recall any other threads mentioning this pedal controller only works randomly. It is quite possible the hookup to the optical wheel was not right hence erratic behavior.
well, at least you got your money worth back, and you and your wife are well.
FYI, ANYTHING you read on Internet should be researched before you make decisions. Don't blame a thread for what happened to you. No one on here forced you to do install. If you don't work on cars, and are not confident, you should never attempt any install, no matter how trivial is sounds. Pay someone to do it right for you, cheap bastard.

?? I am not sure why you're so upset, unless you are the manufacturer or seller of this device??
Sorry, I didnt mean to place any blame on this thread, I just meant to share my experience. You are an angry person

LOL. Upset is the last thing I am. Merely having fun. LOL...angry, way to try project your feelings. Next thing you will accuse this thread, me and the forum of micro aggressions. Go get some safe space, hug a pet, leave auto work to those who are capable.
You are a joke. Choke on a spark plug.
You do know, being able to spell 'spark plug' does not make you a mechanic.
LOL...tools are born every day, when you were born, they ran out of sharpeners. Come on, let me hear another witty quip of yours, can't wait what it will be. Taking pics for future laughter.

Lol, and fair enough. And I'm not saying that these controllers are all dangerous. The programming is so simple, it should work whether 16bit, 32bit, etc...
these are plug and play. But 3 Times ours went into , what felt like "limp mode". 10% power. I just wanted to state my experience, because there are no real reviews out there.
I don't want to be a jerk(but obviously I can debase myself), and I am happy for anyone who has a good experience with this throttle controller.

Amd just to be clear, I never said I was a mechanic, nor did I say I own a Porsche. Though I do aspire to be/do both before my time comes.
I didn't join here to **** people off, it was only to mention that that controller put us into danger. 99.9% are probably great. And I am not blaming anyone for my situations

Lol.
I did get 4 "last post" updates from him.
Ok, all joking aside, he is increasingly making others nervous about what he did.
1. Those pedal controllers must, I repeat, must be installed on makes and models they are specifically designed for. There is no "close enough here".
2. When installing, one "must" be certain, all connections are fully mated and operational. This only comes with experience.
3. After installed, one "must" know how to configure modes, and be knowledgeable about what each mode does,, how..
Setting such controller to the fastest mide possible is asking for trouble. Plain and simple. These are not on/off switches. There is a lot of play in their setup, but it is rare that anyone uses them in the most aggressive mode, due to the controllers being just too aggressive. Period.
None of us know how he set it up, if the controller was proper for the car, how it was installed. All we know is that, as he put it,, "it nearly killed him and his wife".
Hardware doesn't just decide something. It is controlled by series of decisions that are made by programs, which run the hardware, and by stimuli they observe during run time.
It would have been much productive to:
1. not even come on here, versus coming on to blame threads for some undescribed actions, and with very ambiguous info
2. Come on here, and describe specifically what model pedal was installed, onto what year, make, model car, install process, configured mode and observations.
This way, forum members can at least suggest things.
This thread was started by me. I could care less what you think about it. You did not hurt any feelings at all.
Only reason I even replied,, was due to pure lack of any actionable info that can be used to help, and the manner with which blame for bad experience was shifted.
Only take away I got from his "last post", was that thread like this almost caused his wife and him to get killed.
Already spent way too much time on this thread. Help is easiest gained with honey, not vinegar. Life lessons.
