Eittar Throttle Controller - Decided to try

I was not decided on throttle controllers for quite some time. Many options, all appear to do the same - remap throttle for snappier response.
Ended up deciding to try a cheap one by Eittar. Price shipped: $68 USD. Arrived less than 2 weeks after order.
Now, when I get a chance, I will play with that puppy. May not be for some time - got stuff stacked up, and Thanksgiving/Christmas coming up.
So we will see when I get time with this.
Here are some pics. What surprised me most was the size. The consolve itself is the size of a small match box, maybe half the length of your index finger, not even.
Nice and small, with adhesive on back, so you can stick it in a place where you can easily access buttons for changing modes.

I would think it's just the same kind of thing as every other throttle controller - it's just a case of amending the sensitivity, right? What really could be the difference from one controller to the next?

I did the same thing but I installed the pedal Commander which is more expensive but fully compatible and can be controlled with your phone :

I used pedal commander, works great. Awesome improvement, unfortunately not compatible with my tune so had to get rid of it. Well worth the investment.

Be sure to remove the accelerator pedal from floor, otherwise you will break harness clip 9/10 times

Yes, hear many have problems, until they notice there is a torx screw in the pedal. After screw is out, you must slide the pedal up, not just yank it off the floor. There are plastic guides that you will break otherwise.
Ill get something up once I get the thing into the car.

Got curious, so decided to put it into my car.
Took all but about 2 seconds.
As you can see, it fits into the car perfect, with tons of space to spare.

After putting the controller into the car, I decided to really put it into the car.

Install impressions:
  • Dont forget to remove the Torx screw on the pedal (top left of pedal base, 1 screw). T30. If you do not, you are about guaranteed to break the connector retaining tab.
  • After removing screw, do not pull on pedal. Slide pedal up towards the dash board and engine bay (follow the incline of the floor at pedal). It is slid into grooves. Pulling up on it will cause you to break the plastic guides, which will necessitate purchase of new pedal.
  • Connector removal from pedal is not super easy. You must get a leverage to pry connector up, while at same time holding the retail lock down. The retain lock must be pushed in opposite direction as you are trying to slide connector off, so yeah, have fun with that one. Easy though, do not force too hard. I used wide flat screwdriver to leverage one side away from pedal while holding retaining lock down.
  • Once connector is off, super easy. Controller has 2 connectors, one for connector that comes out of the car floor, one for connector that is on the pedal itself. Make sure to slide both fully to click into lock.

Device impressions:
The device I got is Eittar 9H model, with 3 buttons. Cost me some 68 bucks.
  • The controller remote is super small, loving it. Maybe as big as two quarters side by side, about as thick as 3 quarters stacked up
  • The remote cable is long enough to route behind panels so it does not stick out. Good.
  • NOTE: Cable is lightning cable (same as in iPhone - them Asians do anything for iPhones, eh). The cable unplugs from the remote. Being lightning, it can be plugged in one of two ways. However, I noticed that only one way allows the remote to power off when you turn the car off. The other way keeps remote on at all times....battery usage. So mark the side that works well, and you are good to go.
  • Other than connectors, install really easy.

Controller remote impressions:
  • Controller has 3 modes: Not, EC, HH
    • Not - I think they meant to say Off. This is the bypass - inactive mode. As if not installed at all.
    • EC - economy. You can adjust up to 9 steps (1-9). Easy. Press - to step down, press + to step up by one step each press.
    • HH - High herformance (ok, just trying to make them correct). Its the high perf mode. 9 steps (1 to 9), stepped up/down with same +/- buttons.
    • There is auto mode and manual mode, which I do not much understand yet, due to manual being written in Chinese English. I will experiment later with these.
    • Controls: Three buttons
      • Left most - mode button. Press once to switch mode between the three mentioned above.
      • Middle button - MINUS (-) button. Each press allows to step down one mode level. Pressing this for 3 sec enters automatic mode.
      • Right button - PLUS (+). Each press allows to step up one mode level. Pressing this for 3 sec enters the manual mode.

Driving impressions:
  • I probably would not use this controller in the HH mode at setting 9, down through 5. This mode is most aggressive, and higher numbers result in very jerky start/stops. The turbo will turn on almost right away since you will give it so much rpms that it will engage almost from start.
  • My most preferred mode is HH.3 or HH.2, while I am in the normal mode (not sport or sport +). This gives me some edginess for starts, but not overwhelming.
  • EC mode makes car extra extra docile, as in delaying everything by a second or more. So far tried EC.1, EC.2, EC.3, EC.4, higher steps of this mode make the car too sluggish for me
  • Apparently this EC mode helps in fuel mileage. If you are one of those who bought a $180k car and try to save $3 on gas, this is the mode for you. That of if you live in California where gas is $14/gallon (before tax)
  • Remember, the HH mode gets amplified when you enter the sport mode, and even more so when you enter the sport + mode. In sport + mode while in HH.9 on controller, IMO is not very drive-able experience.
For the price, I dont get Bluetooth connection to iPhone app. IMO, I thought about this and I would never have patience to take out my phone, start app, get in, change settings, before driving or at intersection. With this remote, I just press a button and I am ready to race that F150 revving his engine at a red light.
So after comparing features, pricing, I chose this cheap $68 part. Super glad I did. Only thing I do not like is connector to cable is on right side of remote (points towards center console, not great). I will explore 90 degree lightning connectors soon.

Good luck to anyone who gets one. Cheap and IMO perfect for the need.
...and thats all I have to say about that.

Does anyone make one that just makes the pedal normal without a ton of adjustments? Like the original sprint booster, just plug in and go.

not really into fiddling with settings

The current Sprint Booster I have runs 2 modes, sport and race with 1-9 settings for each. There really no messing with it once you figure out what number to set it to. I drive most of the time in sport 7 and have race set to 8. Race 8 is pretty abrupt on the 4.0 TT
