Porsche orders stop-sale for excessive emissions
Porsche orders stop-sale for excessive emissions
Not sure if this has been mentioned or discussed here in 6speedonline, took a quick search within the forum but didn't see any.

2012-2016 models with Sport Chrono are supposedly on hold at Porsche dealerships. I believe this was ordered in Nov 2020 but I was still seeing them for sale earlier in the year. Now it's become more apparent after searching, and only seeing non-Porsche dealerships that have them for sale. I did an extra check and took a look at the ones available for sale, I found them to be correct and do not have the Sport Plus/Sport Chrono.
I do see a very few Porsche dealerships however, that still have the ones with Sport Chrono posted for sale....but very very few. Who knows, maybe they didn't get the memo yet or they keep the posting to lure buyers into the dealership.
My concerns on "the fix" if they do find emission issues...

- My gut feeling is a reduced performance/power from the Sport Plus mode. I sure hope not, defeats the point IMO
. I'm no expert on the matter, I'm not even sure how you would reduce or lower the emissions without sacrificing power output.
- Also, how about when bringing in your car for maintenance and service. Would they secretly attempt to apply an "update" in mitigating this emission issue? Would this end up like the diesel buyback? yikes

Not sure if they would do the same here, but just based on that and if they do go near MSRP....
If and a BIG IF....I had any thoughts of trading or selling this car anytime soon, it's surely making me hold on to it until this is squared away.
And for anyone looking to purchase(from those available at non-porsche dealerships), the value MAY go up for those years mentioned with the Sport Chrono Package, and PDK. I think manuals were excluded off the list recently.
I love my PTTS regardless, but I'm hoping more than anything else that they don't neuter Sports Plus in any way whatsoever.

I’m ready to ditch mine and get into a 991 turbo, but it may be worth it to hold on and see considering trade in on my car is at shy of 40k and msrp was $158k. Unfortunately the panamera’s didn’t hold their value.
