Couple questions/issues
So been working on my 2010 S for a bit now, (weather here is bad so perfect time LOL) I've done a coil/plug replacement due to a PSM failure I was getting, still getting that even after clearing the codes. The car now really struggles to start so now I'm thinking battery, anyway to replace battery without have to re-code the new one? Hook up a charger under the hood while replacing? Also I think maybe my code reader isn't really clearing anything on the car, I've used it to also reset the oil change and the car still shows it needing to be done it's a Foxwell NT530 I reach out to them and they told me update the software which I have done and it still doesn't clear the oil change so like I said I suspect it really isn't clearing the codes for the PSM failure...any ideas? Thanks!!
I'm sorry to read that you aren't able to clear with your NT530. I have a NT510 Elite and it has been working for me. My wife recently got a PSM disabled message, along with Start Stop, so not quite the same. Anyways yes if it is having trouble starting definitely change the battery. I find the error messages will go away once you resolve the problem. As for the reset oil change I would contact them again with the problem. If they still support the NT530 they will resolve it. Also try to reset the battery. I think mine wasn't set properly but hopefully this time with the most recent software it did....
BTW- The bolts that hold down the coil packs are one time use. I hope you replaced them and torqued to spec…

Thanks for the reply! Yea I replaced those bolts and set them correctly. Going to track down a battery this weekend and tackle that now, I was able to finally at least get the oil service to reset, had to go into a few sub menus on my NT530 as the first option of "oil reset" wasn't working.
Google H8 AGM Walmart. (Hope I am not shooting myself in the foot with supply being limited around me, but excellent price. To be honest I got a eBay LiFePO4 (100-20) battery on the way. Registration take the part # from your old one and 10 digits/characters for the SN. (My original battery has 11 so just remove one and/or change a digit/character).
