Oil temp sensor

Any one know where the oil temp sensor is on a 971 , not showing a reading on dash

The oil temp sensor should be located on the oil filter housing. It's a small, cylindrical sensor that screws into the housing. If you're not seeing a reading on your dash, it's possible that the sensor is faulty or the wiring is damaged.

Before you start tearing things apart, though, I'd suggest checking the oil level and making sure that the oil pressure is good. Low oil pressure can also cause issues with the oil temp sensor.
