Preeth...Call me Saturday Morning or Friday nite. I will be doing my final prep for the full concours Saturday... You can stop down and wash your car if you like.

4 hrs later the wheels are done(They were removed to facilitate the polishing of the unfinished inner wheel alloy)...
Well since this is my first concours and in all likelyhood my last, might as well give it my best shot...

It f-ing rained!!!! Had to drive twenty miles on wet roads so needless to say I had road dirt in the wheel wells and a little brake dust that was really road grime on the insides of the wheels from the trip up that I received deductions for. I ended up placing 2nd when my car was the first to be judged in the morning, still raining... Interesting that the winner, a 993 was judged at 1:00 P.M. over 3 hours after the rain stopped and this person was able to detail the car for the entire period until it was judged..

Anyways it was a good experience for my first and last concours competition...

And last....

Hey, you tried it. That is what counts. 2nd isn't bad for your first time especially considering the rain/time circumstances.

Congrats Man!!

Now, can we set your sights on June 18 at Pocono for some real driving please!!!!

Thanks Justin...I don't have any regrets even though I don't feel the winner won fair and square with the 3 additional hours of prep in the sunshine. It was still raining when my car was being judged( the very first one in the morning) It is my understanding that once judging starts (9:30) in the morning in this case, you are not allowed to touch the car after that. This person was tweaking the car until 12:30 PM...Guess it helps when your a judge...

Had I had that extra amount of time to prep to get rid of the underside road grime I had from the drive to the event, I feel the results may have been different....I sleep well at night knowing that my car was perfect the night before the event...Rain sux!!!
