Well since this is my first concours and in all likelyhood my last, might as well give it my best shot...
It f-ing rained!!!!
Had to drive twenty miles on wet roads so needless to say I had road dirt in the wheel wells and a little brake dust that was really road grime on the insides of the wheels from the trip up that I received deductions for. I ended up placing 2nd when my car was the first to be judged in the morning, still raining... Interesting that the winner, a 993 was judged at 1:00 P.M. over 3 hours after the rain stopped and this person was able to detail the car for the entire period until it was judged..
Anyways it was a good experience for my first and last concours competition...

And last....

Hey, you tried it. That is what counts. 2nd isn't bad for your first time especially considering the rain/time circumstances.
Congrats Man!!
Now, can we set your sights on June 18 at Pocono for some real driving please!!!!

Chris, Congrats on your placement, remember 2nd is better than 3rd.

Had I had that extra amount of time to prep to get rid of the underside road grime I had from the drive to the event, I feel the results may have been different....I sleep well at night knowing that my car was perfect the night before the event...Rain sux!!!
