Will anyone be at Lime Rock Nov. 5, 6 or 8 ?
All 3 dates are w/ different groups though. the 5th is scda, 6th is pda, and 8th is nasa. I'm hoping to have my motor broken in by early october and attending at least 2 out of 3 of these events.

I would love to do the events on the 8/9th but i'm not sure if my motor will be fully broken in by then. I am hoping to pick up my car this friday, but that may be pushed back until sept. 10th. If i get the car this friday and i feel comfortable enough that everything is running properly i will try to register for the event as it draws closer. I was planning on the Nov. events b/c i know by that time all the bugs will be sorted out and it should be running 100% by then.
I'm located in central jersey, cranford to be exact. I'm currently driving a heavily modded 1990 twinturbo Z. I blew the motor back in march and since then the car has been upgraded w/ a fully built motor, inconnel manifolds, bb530 turbos, roll bar, sparco seats, etc etc etc (I basically rebuilt the car to be a (imo)perfect blend between a street and track car, focussing on response and overall power band rather then peak hp #s). I was offered a good amount of $ for the car recently, so i joined this forum to learn more about 996s as that is what i would replace the z w/. I still have the z for now and i'm really looking forward to getting it out on the track again before i make any final decisions on whether to sell or keep it.
On a side note, you have an amazing porsche! Definitely one of my favorites.

Chris,
With the September delivery, you will have 1 month to break it in. YOU MUST COME TO WATKINS WITH US!!!!
As a point of comparison, two years ago, I signed up for a motorcycle track school with my Ducati 996. Well, one thing led to another and I picked up a Ducati 998 only weeks prior to the event. I put on some miles but not enough for true break in. I went to the track nonetheless and was just careful on how I used it. No problems then or now. So, get some wheel time and then sign up. You will have a bunch of 6speeders to talk to, see their cars and have an overall great time.
JUST DO IT!!

I am signed up for PDA at Lime Rock Sat., Nov. 6. I would love to see another 6Speeder there. PDA is sold out for that day though.

kpv, not looking good for oct @ wg. These guys are really dragging their feet w/ my car
I called yesterday and they still only had the motor on the stand waiting for it to be dropped in. If it wasnt for liability, i would've put the motor in myself and been done w/ this a month ago

No i didnt. I didnt want to commit to a day until i knew i had my car back and everything was ok w/ it. I already had to get refunds on 3 days this year b/c of the car so i didnt want to sign up again and once again have to ask for a refund. i might still go and try to get in on a waiting list..
Bummer, I could see where that would prevent you from wanting to register until you were certain. I've twice gotten into a Lime Rock event with SCDA by being on the waiting list.....so, there is hope. Is NASA also currently sold out?
