I am new to this forum but have already met some really cool people on this site. Here is a chance for us to meet face to face and check out the rides! If the weather is nice I would like to propose a mini meet in Annapolis at the Hard Bean Coffee shop around 11am until whenever...casual conversation, nice cars, hopefully great weather, and downtown Annapolis is beautiful!

There is usually a rennlist meet every spring and fall, so that should be soon. I tried to start a twice monthly cars/coffee meet last year, but too many of the old farts around here couldn't make it. I know a bunch of local car guys in the DC area with some nice exotics, lambos, ferraris, and a bunch of pcars, so maybe we'll try to find a good location between MD/VA/DC to start doing it.

There is one that goes on every sunday called "the church of the holy donut". If you go on ferrarichat.com you can read about it. Its mostly hotrods and such, but a bunch of the local ferrari guys go. It's in MD somewhere. There's definitely enough car guys around here to start a crystal cove type meet.

 

Cool! Post this up on Rennlist to see who makes it out please! Hopefully weather holds.

Pertaining to your comments on the coffee/cars meet I would go ahead and try to set it up...a few of my BMW brethren should attend and as it gets larger and larger we may get something good started!

I also noticed last year that the Marriot had a little exotics show on Sunday too...and usually when the weather is good there are a few Ferraris that hang out...

I will check out ferrarichat.com out...I would really like to check that out too!

Maxwell, it would be cool to get a regular meet going. I think we are starting to get a good size local group..

 

This Saturday the 17th right before I go to Ram's Head to celebrate St. Patties! 11- to whenever - - I WILL be leaving if I am still there at 1:30 to be at RH at 2:00PM for the specials!

I wish I could make it out to this on Saturday, but I'll be up in NJ for some family business. As for regular meets, that would be terrific....

Maxwell - We need to make Moby Dick a standard destination after every meet just like last time. Tyson's Galleria (II) would be a good spot to get a bunch of folks together. I've set up a few meets there before where we all met on the upper level of the Macy's Parking Lot. Just a thought.

As for a Mid-Atlantic Meet, I think it would be great to do something where we meet every other week or so for a coffee social type of thing, then head out towards Skyline Drive or something?? Maybe we can join the Rennlisters w/ the 6Speeders and make it a "SHOW".

I'm looking forward to trying to attend these local events. I'm getting envious of the California and warmer areas that are doing this year round.

Berk, there is a spot in Rockville, just a few minutes outside the city where a lot of car groups have meets. This is the spot where the rennlist meets are. On a nice saturday you'll usually see a couple of different car groups there.

You're killing me with the cali talk. I bought my turbo when I lived in Las Flores Canyon in Malibu. It was a five mile canyon run down to the PCH just to get a coffee! You would see like 40 ferraris running down the pch on a saturday for a meet. Cars are just nuts out there. Why am I here again?

The Rockville spot sounds great. Let's do it. We need to get the 6Speeders together with the Rennlisters together with the Ferrari Clubbers. I think with the slew of creative thinkers and social networks we all have, we should make this a formidable group of car enthusiasts who begin making these meets routine. I'll be gone next weekend for my wedding, but then when I get back, I'm looking forward to attending these events.

Bikini Car Wash maybe????? Just a thought. Maybe we can sync up with some local radio stations like the Junkies on 106.7FM to get them to supply us with the Junkettes. Alright, I'm really losing my mind now.

Berk, I started hanging with some of the ferrarichat guys last year, (Kassir, etc.) but they don't "hang out" as much as the pcar guys. We've got a group of about 20-30 local guys that show up at the rockville meets, so those are pretty good. I definitely want to mix in a meet/drive in there. We did a nice one last year, from somewhere in MD (dont remember where) to Solomans Island. Mario with the red GT2 set it up. That would be a good one to do again.

Im a big fan of drives that end up at a good spot for beers/kabobs!

btw - kassir sold his car! he better pick up something new for the 07 season!

What the heck is he thinking getting rid of that? Knowing him, I'm sure he'll get something that'll top the charts even more. I'm confident he will surprise us all with something even better, like an Abrams Tank or something.

The Solomans Island ride sounds good. Let me know when the next meet is.
