How many of you are planning on coming out to see the San Jose Grand Prix? I thought we could make this a 6speed meet up as well if enough people want to.

I know the local photographers on 6speed that show up to Santana Row will most likely be showing up can't pass on a chance for some great pictures.

I will go down Friday for practice . Can not go to race as I am taking the GT3 to Thunderhill. I have two of the best seats top row Gold grandstand which are available Sat. Ans Sun

 

I thought about going there as well but choose to support the races instead. I have a friend whose kid is driving in the FBMW series support race.

I did sign up for the Aug.31 HOD Thunderhill instead.

Doesn't look like anyone from 6speed is going it is unfortunate because I think SJGP will fall victim to the same fate as the USGP. I heard that this is the pivotal year for SJGP if this doesn't pan out they will cancel this event since it costs more to run then it brings in.

 

I'll be there for sure. Have been since the start, and have (hopefully) found the best seats - right at the tip of the 180 turn. I heard last night on the news that the event is now projected for "break-even"... Hope so, as it's a really great time.

My girlfriend and I plan on spending Saturday night down there for race festivities. Let me know if any other 6speeders want to get together for dinner or drinks.
