Hey guys!

Last summer, Kevin (997S), Dale (996TT), Joe (997S - sold to Algae), and Kunal (996TT), along with a buddy and me went to Cannon Beach in OR.

We had a great time. A lot of it was on I-5, but we had no problems, especially between Olympia and Portland. And from Portland to the Coast was absolutely awesome.
I don't know what it should take, but I think it's close to 5 hours - - we did it in about 3!!

Anyways, we are trying to plan another trip for sometime in August.
It's going to be another spirited drive, but we thought a few more cars might enjoy tagging along.

Bruce? Jason? Larry? Vincent? Algae? Mogen? All you other local nutheads!!!

Lets figure some Sunday with a few-weeks notice. Who's interested?

I was actually driving it in those pictures above, too... Hence the brake lights in the back.

I did that drive from Seattle when I lived there (in my M3)...

I might join in..., it would be fun to meet some of you. I lurk a bit on here, but now am ready to play. And I just finished putting on a Techart II style bumper on my '01 911TT..., its looking pretty sick and needs to be admired by others!!

Day trip. A lot of miles in one day, but it's not so bad. Goes by quickly - no pun.

Waiting for more input before deciding on the date. Sometime in mid-August I presume.
Looking forward to seeing the TechArt bumper.

 

My wife and I drive to Cannon Beach at least 4 times a year. It usally takes me 3.5 hours in the turbo We are always up for driving down there. the drive is even more fun if you stay off I-5 and go through Shelton or Aberdeen. I usually take I-5 to the longview exit and cut over to the coast.

 

Cannon Beach is 3 hours from Tacoma area in the right car. Willcox MD drives in reverse more than not.
I might be interested earlier in August I have late August commitments. Cannon is a busy place in the summer I would guess. Organize quickly.

 

Is the 2nd Sunday of August too early/late for anyone???

Willcox - I am always open to try new routes.
But the Q is, M6 or 996?
