Up for sale is an "as new" AWE system including Headers, Cats, and Mufflers (no tips, I re-used OEM). Sounds and performs wonderfully.

These parts new are $4,285 ($1595 headers, $1495 cats, $1195 mufflers). Asking $3,214 OBO (25% off). Local pick-up in CT preferred, but would ship at buyer's expense.

why are you selling?

 

I bought a 1992 C2 with full mods (suspension, roll cage, etc.) that I'll be using on the track. So, I'm de-tuning the 997S to shift some assets over to the new car

The AWE really is amazing and if I wasn't getting my "exhaust fix" from the C2, I'd be keeping it. I can't tell you how many compliments I've had on the AWE... As for power gains, I can tell you this quick story... At Lime Rock I've been running with a certain 997 GT3. Before the AWE went on, we'd enter the straight together at the same speed and the GT3 would understandably slowly walk away. After the AWE, we were dead even under full throttle all the way down - so he'd have to give me the point by (I'm quicker in the turns).

Great system....lucky guy who got this.

 

AWE does sound great. I bought them from a 6 speeder and although they didn't transfer the warranty they did fix the exhaust I had an issue with.
