Cobb install location

Hi guys,

For those of you using the Cobb tune, where are you guys mounting the accessport? I'm having a hard time deciding where to mount it, anyone with install pics would be much appreciated.

Thanks

There's no need to mount it,... unless you plan to leave it in there long-term to use as a gauge.

I did my Stage 2 flash and removed it before pulling out of the garage.

This year I had a custom tune done,.. and as a result,.. I had it in there for a few weeks while as I was pulling data-logs and such.

Even then I just left it on the passenger seat. I'd shift into third before doing a pull,.. then pick up the Accesport and press the logging button,... then floor it. When it got to 7,000 rpm I'd press it again as I clutched in,.... click the trans into 5th and toss the Accesport back onto the passenger seat.

Now that my tune is finalized,... it's back in the box.

Here's the pictures Accesport has on the web.

(I'm diggin' that radio. I wonder if it's possible to switch to that?)

Thanks for the reply. I was figuring mounting it for logging would make it easier (I'm doing the passenger seat method now LOL), maybe I can find a suction cup windshield mount for temporary mounting.

Hey y'all! I realize most here are my peeps including the OP!

Yeah I think he is looking for opinions on mounting for the purpose of a gauge and real time data. Suction cup mount may be the best because you can move it around. I like it on the left above the headlight switch in that little space between the pillar and cluster.

What's your favorite solution for that?

I'd perhaps like it to monitor IAT's. Really I'd like an analog gauge for that,.. but the AP I already have.

Cheers,

Less is more in this case so you can see it although you can display up to 6 units and the shift light!

So:
- Boost and IAT

- Boost, IAT and two cyl of timing ratard

Assuming you have a good/set tune the rest is safe and automatic. With the above you can see if the car is running tip/top and not leaking or being pushed beyond octane/hardware limits at any given moment. You get to know the car and tune in many settings rather than one or two logs. Sometimes you can real-time verify "feel" to #'s

I use a flexible phone mount plugged into the passenger footwell socket. Plugged in all the time except for today to download some logs.
