Got big speeding ticket. Need lawyer in LA area

Hey guys,

Long story short, I was in LA on business, rented a Camaro SS, got a ticket for 100. The citation number is for a 1 point infraction. 101mph and above is 2 points.

My ticket is roughly 500 not including court fees, etc. etc. My court date is set for late July.

Does anyone have a good lawyer who can help me take care of this. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

It is a little late now ..... but for about $35.00 month you can have prepaid legal that provides you an attorney for traffic tickets among other things.

Attorney

This guy came through for me. http://www.866speeding.com/index.php

Cost a-bit for a lawyer when I got hosed but a lot less than four trips to the courthouse, and the costly fine wrapped up in a nice insurance premium for a three to seven year half life fine $$$$ time line, to the insurance company of your choice. Happened to me like this, the cop made me run, a big *** bulla car with their brights on tried to hit me three times on a dark roadway last November, I punched a buck to get away and the red/blue lights came on. The cop played me to get me to run, getting run into by a rolling brick is so attractive. Anyway it is the latest game being played by our "stellar" law enforcement groups that practice all the best ethical values to serve as the example to our common worth. I have a class A so I was a bit hosed and had to get some help. Best of luck to you, so you can bet that the guy that was passing you by that day at Mach-2 while you were getting the ticket, was probably an off duty copper with an "E" ticket pass to run right past all of us to to early retirement at 55, at 90% of his working wage, with cost of living increases for life. Smile, just like me you bought it, you common you.

Here is who I used. Sherman Ellison. It'll cost you. Depending on your insurance situation, it still might be worth it. My premiums were going to go up $3000 per year with this ticket. I was out of traffic school eligibilty. The fee I paid for the attorney was less than what my premium increase would have been and it was totally hassle free.

Hey Got Boost. How did you estimate the effect the ticket would have on your premium? If I could figure that out I'd be able to determine if getting a lawyer is worthwhile or not. I'm assuming I'll get shafted in the most extreme way possible seeing that I'm a 23 year old male...

I do have a clean record however. I'd be happy to get away with paying the ticket and getting traffic school...

I called my insurance agent and had him figure it out. If you have a clean record and haven't gone to traffic school in the last 18 months, that is the best way out for you.

100 miles PH, and you can take traffic school, all good news, I was under the impression that anything above 99mph, you were shot on site. Good for you , I would send the Judge flowers if I got that deal.

Take care, and all 4 wheels on the ground.

In Cali they can confiscate your car for over 100mph. In Virginia they just shoot you roadside.

lots of wiggle room on this one.

1) trial by deceleration
2) give all of the details and say what happened "NOT MY CAR" was not familiar with it etc, hit the cruze control and car accelerated etc
3) should it not come back as what you wanted "not guilty"
4) trial de nevo - and if all else fails
5) get a lawyer and set a trial date and hope cop no show's and your good .

i live in SD as well, avg speed on most freeways here is around 80
while i do see cops alot they seem to look for the nut jobs weaving in and out of traffic,
they don't seem to care about the flow of traffic all going 80

Just retained Sherman Ellison yesterday, I'll let you guys know how it goes. Thanks for the tip. I'd rather give him $1500 than be used to balance the state budget.
