I actually worked for Venture Tape/3M for many years. 3M did buy Venture Tape 2 years ago, but the products are still separate. As far as quality goes between the Venture Shield Clear Coat and 3M Scotchguard films, VS is probably superior especially since you'll pay more for the 3M. And most people in the Mass/RI/NH area will tell you they use a 3M film when they really don't! Protective Solutions is the largest and one of the only installation groups to install the Venture/3M product in this area.
