Denison IceLink Install - 996 Turbo

Many thanks to the excellent write ups and articles on the install procedures for the Denison IceLink. Installed recently but with a slight twist. I located the "box" inside the CD holder in the dash. As I will not be needing CD storage but wanted to keep the dash stock I removed the holder housing and using a dremel to carefully cut out the sides and bottom of the holder. It is a snug fit but all wire and optical fiber connectors went in nicely. I then cut the bottom section out of the individual CD holders and reinstalled into the rack. They were a push fit and hold in well.

I also brought the valet switch into the storage tray below the CD, wiring it through a hole cut in the bottom of the tray. The Ipod cradle wiring comes through the same location and is mounted in the same area.

I had a Dension Icelink when on my BMW when they were first introduce. I think the unit overheated and short circuited. This acted like a virus in my car... malfunctioning dash and lights etc. Dension wouldn't provide any warranty support. never again will i buy a product from them.
