Insurance?
Insurance?
I was surprised not find anything on track insurance using the search function. I will be visiting the US for a few months next year and am looking forward to driving on some their fantastic tracks. However, as in Canada, my insurance is null and void when driving on the track.
Can I buy "track insurance" for each event (or are their other options?), as a non-resident? If so, any recommendation for companies?
Thanks,
K.

Kinda late for the OP maybe, but depending on the events you run, you might be able to get coverage through the new Lockton-Affinity HPDE program... http://hpdeins.locktonaffinity.com/
It's "per-event" value-agreed comprehensive coverage for structured, non-competitive events. Each organization has to be approved by Lockton-Affinity, so that's why it depends on the event whether you can get coverage or not.

Not to bring too far back from the dead...
But are there any agreed-upon HPDE coverage with limited street mile programs? ... for a 21 year old?

All that said ... if you go through an insurance broker (one who doesn't work for one particular company) they can usually find someone to write an agreed-upon-value street policy. Then you can use a program like the Lockton-Affinity I mentioned above for individual track events.
