so it seems to me that we have two nominated and willing members to attend this race...f1crazydriver, you CAN make it, should you be picked, right? boxtergirlie has confirmed that she can be there and more than winning, we want to be certain that the nominated member will show up..

I have a low post count and no one knows Me here.... so, I know I won't get voted in.
On that note, this looks like one bad *** event.
I will either take MY '02 996 ex-koni challenge car (2600lbs and puts 327 at the tires) or 997 turbo, with a 'few' mods for track days. I'd say its along the line of a Turbo RS, if you will.
I have done open wheel (formula continental 3 yrs total/formula atlantic 5 yrs total) then had a growth spurt and went GT racing.... in a 911 of course. My Father and Myself run a independent Porsche shop. So, I have him to thank for all this.
Past Porsche race cars:
1974 Tubbed, 993rsr body, GT-3R Class in PCA.
1998 993 3.8 RSR (Prob My favorite)
More prepped 993/6/7 cars then I can remember (this is My job)
2004: GT3 Cup (team car)
2003: GT3 Fully prepped by DAWE
2002: Z06 fully prepped
86,88 & 89: 951 Turbo(s)
1989: Mazda Can-Am car. (search google if you dont know what that is)
I hold a few track records (might still) with the FA/FC cars.
24 Hours of Daytona twice
Licensing:
Multiple Grand-Am races
SCCA and SCCA-Pro
NASA
POC
PCA
EMRA
D-1 Pro (mayde tyte dorifting, yo... Yes, I own a BMW and slide it around)
Damn, I sound like an ***/ego freak. Which I am not... just really competitive and love to race.

All due respects to the new guy but I believe the car/driver representing 6speed should be a contributing member. There are plenty of good candidates here that have spent hundreds of hours here helping others and it would only be fitting that one of them should have the honor and privilege.

I don't see why not. We have several talented people who could represent us well. We've already decided it was cool to send two. No need to introduce status quo into the picture. Maybe a few more will show up.
It's not like 6speed is paying your way or there is some prize involved for showing up.
There are a ton of talented and presentable drivers on 6speed of which I'm sure several could represent us well and show up at this event. Why turn even one of them down? Just my honest opinion.
If there has to be one with the "title" of representation, that's fine, but there is strength in numbers too, so send whoever's willing to go and will represent.
Unity is always greater than division.

hey Patrick, it looks like we have three great members (although one is new and we don't know him he sounds like he has pretty good credentials) that are willing to go to Nevada...are we restricted to sending only one? Is it a money thing where 6 speed is sponsoring? Can we start a collection to send more members since that seems to be what everyone wants?...just a few questions I think everyone is wondering about
