queston about spacers and track

hey all, just wondering if its considered safe to get on the track (beginner) with spacers?

It depends on the width of the spacers used. If you are using a wide spacer you may want to use a longer stud bolt. Can you give us more details?

mine are 7mm in front and 25mm in rear... the wheels are oem gt3 and also have a stud setup, so the spacer bolts to the cars hub and the wheels bolt to the spacers (actual studs), plus they are hubcentric. Thanks.

make sure that you use the proper torque specs on everything.

As long as everything is installed correctly and properly torqued you wont have any issues.

Remember not to re-torque your wheels when you just come off the track while they are hot. Always do it when cold.

Other than have fun. =)

If you are going to use bolt on spacers (most of these are not allowed in race events, though I have asked a couple of PCA scruts, and they can't explain why), then you not only need to check the torque of your wheels, but you need to pull the wheel and check on the torque of the spacers on the hub as well. Check them once each morning and you should be good.
