Helmet Sizing? Simpson. Wore Bell today.

I'm looking to buy a Simpson Super Bandit but I'd like to get fitted first since I'm deciding between two sizes.

I wore a Bell size 57/small and my head measures 56.5cm so I'm trying to figure out if I need 7 1/8 or 7 1/4.

I don't carry Simpson, so I can't say for sure how they compare to the Bell, but most of the cheaper Bells are very round and the higher-end models tend to be more oblong.
What model of Bell did you use and how old was the helmet?
That's what I figured but I can't seem to find a local place that sells Simpson helmets. I believe it is this:

NJSPEEDER is infamous around these parts
The best thing you can do when looking for a helmet is go try on as many as you can. It's about more than just size, it's also about theshape of your dome. There are 4 or 5 very common head shapes and the various manufacturerstry to build in between a few of them to make a comfortable hat for the most people possible.

I owned Simpson stuff for years (decades really) until the day I tried on an Impact, it felt like it was made for me and that is all I have used since.

I thought I needed a medium based on my hat size - found out a XXS was what I actually required.
