Plasti Dip Wheels on Track Car?

Will plasti dip wheels hold up to heat from the front brakes on the track?
Has anyone done this and had good results?

Im sure it will work for low hp light weight cars but a 997tt or gt3 is going to generate TONS more heat.

BayArea911 is infamous around these parts
I had a set of my street wheels plasti dipped for several months with good results. Ive heard from others that plasti dip will not hold up to that much heat though

I use it on my track wheels on my vette. I had the wheels so hot I couldn't touch them doing a pad change. The dip never came off one bit. I think it cooks on

Why are you looking to plastidip your wheels? as VGLNTE stated, it just sort of bakes on a bit.

My plastidip didn't last one event. I put 4 coats on of it, not including the clear.

Still "holding on" but does brown a bit. I often spray a fresh coat ahead of the day... These things are pretty thick right now!

Old topic but I figured I'd chime in. I plasti dipped the wheels on my corvette, and it turned into a nasty brown after the first track event. I didn't apply many coats though so that may have been the reason.

Mine also brown a bit probably the dip burning from all of the brake heat. I take off the wheels in between most events and spray another layer and it looks great again. Also it's protecting the wheels. Looks tough in Flat Black with my config.
