We fired her up today. Deadly to say say the least. Torque and power are a bit much. What do you think broke on lift off? This has to be a first. I had no idea.

It wasn't the motor, tranny, clutch, front differencial, cv joints or axles. Prior to this, the hardest we ever launched her was at 5000 rpm's.

KPV,

Getting close, but no. KA doesn't have lug bolts. And the wheel attachments didn't let go.

What do I win?

Seriously though, these were your Fikses, right? Have you already spoken to them about this?

Alex,

They air freighted the wheels back to Fikse, should have them back Tuesday. They are replacing them. Rob wants to take her to the dyno. We can pick her up any day after Wednesday. I'll show you what a 7500 rpm launch looks like with a 3.16-1 first gear using wide sticky rubber.

Greg,

Great guess. I would have never believed it if I hadn't seen it.

What changes are going to be made to your wheels (if any) so that they can cope with KA's prodigious power levels?

Chad,

I find that interesting...I had the same problem with some Fikse's years ago on my 500E. I had been told that Fikse had cured that problem. Though...I suppose they were not thinking in terms of the power KA must generate. But still...troubling
