Thanks for the kind words and understanding. We have definitely made our share of mistakes over the last three years. Actually, this project has taken a significant twist. I asked Todd at EVO for some of his experience and expertise. Todd has agreed to provide the intake system from the throttle body to the GT3 Cup heads. EVO is also providing their fuel blocks and head studs. In addition, we are using their silicon hoses at the turbo's.
We will provide pics when the parts are delivered in about two weeks.
KA's engine should be completed sometime in late January. We are going to have the track widened along with the front and rear fenders extended. We are looking at 315/30-18's for the front and 345/30-18's for the rear. We are looking to use the Michelin Pilot Sport Cups. How do you think it will affect the handling?

Here is something else we are thinking about. The 345/30-18 Michelin Pilot Sport cup has a 26.2" OD and a 791 RPM. The 315/30-18 has a 25.5" OD and a 815 RPM. These tires would be in the acceptable parameters for the PSM, ABS and VC. My only concern would be the additional weight of the 315's up front. This may not be a bad thing, I just don't know.
Now for my thinking out of the box idea. Michelin, in the MSC line makes a 235/35-19. It has a 25.5" OD and a 816 RPM. Again a match as to PSM, ABS and VC.
Michelin 345/30-18's and 235/35-19's. No one to my knowledge has tried this. I wonder how the handling would be with this combination?
As for the 275 and 335 Hoosier combination ........... we tested that and the 265 and 315 MPSC combinations about a year ago. Both have been successful. The Hoosiers are great for the track, however they didn't last two days.

I am told that this will really help with the power-on understeer I am feeling. A slightly larger front will definitely help in your situation.

In other words you better be careful if you want to continue to live. As street these cars are faster than the brain can function. We're just looking for all the rubber I can get to help keep her planted to the ground. We're trying to find out what the consequences would be of hanging those 315's up front.

Hey Chad... what are you using for turbos these days. I haven't heard you talk about your turbos for some time and would be interested in a brief (or long - if you have the time) recap.

I had to do the same thing to get the 275's on. If you have the opportunity, could you post a pic of what you did for your aluminum inner fender work.

My turbo's is what I know the least about. Rob hasn't given all the info out on these. We really haven't been able to test them. They were installed and ready to test and we bent the rods.
What I can say is this. The original set up came from TIAL. The hot side is a K24, but not like the K24 you see today. They are from a 1995 993 GT2. The turbo housing is larger than the 996 K24 turbo housing. Different A/R ratio. They also have a different bolt pattern to the headers. The turbo bearings are water cooled, yet they could be oil cooled if you wanted.
The induction side is Garrett. I do not know the size. All I can tell you is the intake measures three inches.
In addition Rob has performed alot of additional work to these turbo's. I'll post some pics.
